A couple of months into the pandemic, we knew 1) what the mortality rate would look like thanks to Drs Bhattacharya and Ionnanidis early papers. So out goes the, otherwise valid objection, that "we did not not AT THE TIME" and 2) that there were asymptomatic patients and patient admitted with and not because of COVID. Two factors that blurred the mortality and hospitalization rates.

Bhattacharya and Ionnanidis papers also indicated that the number of infected people at the time was way above the official numbers and thus inflating the mortality/hospitalization rates.

It is simple. Trump is attempting to turn the United States of America into the Disunited States of Trump. Trump apologists keep trying to focus on one or another aspect of Trump’s agenda which might in a stretch be seen as positive (the border, etc) while utterly ignoring the enormous entirety of his assault on every aspect of our Republic, all while continuing to denounce the Biden administration in ways which are little more than political and psychological projection.

In terms of the pandemic, hindsight as my Dad was so fond of saying, is always 20-20.
